NAPROXEN

or Naprosyn or Anaprox

Naproxen is a drug used against minor toothache, pains, aches, fever, and as anti-inflammatory.

It was originally marketed as Naprosyn and Anaprox and is the member of the class of Pain Killers known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID).

In the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the use of Naproxen Sodium as an over-the-counter (OTC). This preparations are sold under the trade name Aleve.

Dental Use:

  • Toothache, Tooth Pain, Dental Pain, Odontalgia, Odontalgy.
  • Treatment of mild to moderate pain.
  • Treatment of postoperative pain.
  • Management of swelling.

Oral Dosage for Adults and Children 12 years of age and older:

  • 220 mg every 8-12 hours up to 660 mg/day

Do not exceed 1,375 mg/daily!
